ARARAT FOOTBALL CLUB

AMBUR ARARAT FOOTBALL CLUB, commonly referred to as AFC (Ararat FC)

based in Ambur, North Arcot Ambedkar district, Tamil Nadu, South India. Founded in

1979 & 1980 by Ambur Bethlehem and Mission compound youths, Ambur.

Name ARARAT is chosen from the bible which is one of the great mountains in the

biblical history.

Mr.CKS.Tennison, Mr.V.Samson, Mr.Irvin ,Mr. J.Roop Singh and few others who are

the few young youths of Bethlehem mission compound Ambur started the club and

played Football Leagues matches in early 1980's. Each member contributed to help and

continue the Great football club Ararat.

They continue the longest streak in the local and the higher divisional tournaments in

and around the districts. They have won many matches in the devotional trophy

matches in other's districts as well.

good friends of Bethlehem and Mission compound youths.
